PS 139:14

"I want to praise You because You created me so perfectly."

What a privilege to have a passion and anointing to work with God's children!  These perfect creations we call our children.  My heart is to speak life and bring hope to every child's heart that crosses my path, but through this I also realise that I have the same heart for every parent who is tasked with this huge responsibility!

I spend 4 years as a schoolteacher, teaching from grade R - 5. Already then, I had a passion to approach teaching different. My passion was to start child development right from 3 months – which also meant I get to work with the parents!

I got to live this dream through a Pienkvoet Pret franchise I had for 10 years. In 2016 I sold the franchise with the arrival of our youngest. However, the 3 years I was home, Briljante Breintjies (Brilliant Brain) started to take shape piece by piece.  My passion to teach babies, Grade R children (pre-school) and the parents finally came to be a reality in one business!

The first 2 years of your child's life are a golden window period! During this time, you open all the doors in your child's brain through lots of exposure and stimulation.  After that, your child only files information.

My program addresses the total development of a baby.

The second part of my program stems from many years of experience with children and it is my conclusion that many children have unnecessary extra help and therapy regarding reading and writing skills. In many cases struggling children in more advance grades just did not have a proper or enough exposure to the right perception skills.

This could lead to emotional challenges regarding reading and writing. At the end you have a child with a bad self-image right in the beginning of their school  journey!

I truly believe that this challenge can be avoided if there is a proper focus on the child’s perception skills.

Successfully learning to read and write depends directly on the child's Auditory and Visual Perceptual abilities!

For some children it is totally too little to ensure that they are ready for Grade 1 reading and writing. Teachers are heavily burdened to meet the grade 1 requirements for school. My program assists the teacher and parent in the drive to meet these preschool requirements for perception.

My passion is to prevent remediation in connection as much as possible! I wrote my own program where I address all the Auditory and Visual perceptions. I also try to address this perception as concretely as possible, before I start working one-dimensionally.

I feel very strongly about a child of this age learning through his/her body!

The better these perceptions are developed and stimulated, the easier and more naturally reading and writing are learned!  From this flow a positive outlook on reading and writing and of course school.

We want the child to have a positive self-image.
